Congratulations to Jon Holiday on coming 1st in the Reflections competition from all the Pictures2Win.com team. This image is titled "Dating Story."

Jon says, "When shooting in a big city, I love looking for an unusual juxtaposition of buildings and structures and the like, BUT what photographer can resist the occasional photograph that tells a story or that captures a wonderful candid moment in time? This was a total grab shot, and I only had a second once I spotted the action. For fun, can you spot me in the picture?"

This spot is in Chicago's Millennium Park, and the object is a sculpture called "Cloud Gate", or commonly referred to by Chicagoans as The Bean.

Judge David says: "This is an outstanding winter seaside capture! The rich red adds just the right amount of color. The exposure, clarity, lighting, and saturation are very good. Inclusion of the birds also enhances the image. Bravo on a super POTD!"

Fort Worth based photographer Jon Holiday has been included in a collection of images by the "best" photographers of 2010. These photographers are members of a community called Photos2Win. Photos2Win - The Best of 2010 is a Showcase Book to highlight the talents of these members. It is a wonderful little picture book with many outstanding images from truly talented photographers.

When the idea of this book first came up, P2Win wanted to produce something special for their members. The project was dedicated to its members, produced from their vision, talent, and creativity – there was no other way it could be.

Ft. Worth Texas based photographer Jon Holiday received an Special Recognition award for "Bonnie's Eyes" in the current exhibition at Light Space and Time Gallery. They received 419 entries from 11 different countries from around the world, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Barbados, Australia, Poland, Czech Republic, New Zealand, France, Netherlands and Germany. In addition, we had entries from 28 different states. They received a broad selection of media including, watercolors, oils, acrylics, digital art, photography, mixed media and pencils.

Curator John R Math says, "Due to the volume and the quality of the entries received this month we also included 40 artists who were chosen for Special Recognition. The artists in this group could have easily been included in the upper tier of our winners, as their art is exceptional. We hope that you will take the time to also enjoy their beautiful art work too."
